02-28-21, Will the 'old' pond dam collapse? Join me for a walk to check on the old pond dam at our Southern Illinois farm as it has breached and water was running over the top of the pond dam! On the evening of Feb 27, 2021 we got a sustained, heavy rain storm that lasted all night long. The next morning we woke up to whitewater running in every ditch, and even down the middle of our driveway. Join me for a ride to see what some of the driveway culvert pipes look like with whitewater flowing through them and through all of the ditches and creeks of our Southern Illinois wooded farm. Also we'll check out some of the local area flooding as well. Then we'll take a walk in the woods to check out the 'old' pond dam that was overflowing earlier and see how it is doing. If it overflows too much there is a risk of it literally collapsing since it is not made to 'full size' pond dam specs.
