I only spent $30 to solve my overheating problems when doing interviews or long clips with my Sony a5100 camera. This solution should work fine for any Sony Alpha camera running the NP-FW50 battery. I didn't test the total run time, but I estimate it could run the camera
about 6-8 hours with the dummy battery and external battery pack that has a capacity of over 12,000mAh.
