0:00 First body cam
This started as a call for service. Roaming security at a parking garage in Las Vegas noticed a mother dog and puppy in the back of a vehicle in distress. Officers arrived and broke out the window.
Do not leave pets in the heat. We are continuing to investigate this and no arrests have been made.

3:01 Second body cam
This started out as a call for service. A passerby notices a dog is distress, possibly heat exhausted, in a vehicle.
Officers arrive, notice the dog is in distress, and are forced to break the window and gets the dog out.
The dog is eventually taken by animal control.
We learned the dog's owner was inside a store shopping at the time.
The owner was arrested.
Do NOT leave pets in hot cars. This was in the heat of the day and likely could have turned deadly within minutes.
