Today I am answering a question from a viewer about water plants, they specifically asked “would you use water hyacinth or duck weed for livestock feed”, as usual my answer is it depends and lets look deeper on this. There are actually three floating plants that seem to have promise for livestock feed. They are water hyacinth, duck weed and azolla. Today we don’t just look at them as feed stock but for their other really great functions, specifically waste water cleaning, high nutrient mulch and composting stock.
