Caliber Corner Weekly Edition: Ruger SR1911...everything you need and nothing more.

Today we will focus on my favorite 1911, the Ruger SR1911. While the price on this .45 ACP pistol has increased from when I bought mine about three years ago, it offers many great features out of the box and is perfect as is...but also offers a good starting point for conversion and modification.

There, I've said it. The Ruger SR1911 truly does offer you the features you want in a 1911, .45 ACP platform. I have tested many 1911's on my channel as aside from a sweet, sweet Les Baer that I tested several years ago (and could cost me a months wages to buy) the Ruger SR1911 hands-down is an awesome pistol that you need to check out. This evening we will go through the specs, features, cost and compare it to the competition in the sub $900, 1911 market.
