The Bible’s command that the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father or vice versa doesn't always work in politics, but in the case of the recent elections in the Philippines, it seems remarkably relevant. The May vote helped not one but two political dynasties to return or stay in power, despite their rather contentious legacies. Why is family politics so attractive to Filipinos?
