Hylebos Wetland Trail is located Federal Way, Washington. This little gem is home to the early pioneer cabins, David Denny and the Barker's. The Denny cabin was built in Seattle, 1889, as a real estate office. It survived the Seattle fire of 1889 and later moved to Federal Way. It was built with trees from Queen Anne Hill, now a prominent area in Seattle. The Barker's cabin was built in 1883, one of the first settlers in the Federal Way area. The Hylebos Wetlands is a home for birds and wild animals. A boardwalk meanders throughout the forested area, 1.9 miles. While walking the trail, one would never know they were in a Seattle suburb, they are surrounded by a dense forest atmosphere.
