An EU Parliament member suggested imposing sanctions on the US, in order to really prevent the financing of the war.

"If we really wanted to prevent the financing of the war… we would not import oil and gas from the US, which has been involved in more war conflicts than any other country in Europe and the world in recent decades" - said Mislav Kolakušić, Member of the European Parliament for Croatia.
