GrillBee Pizza Stone Review - 36'' Blackstone Griddle Culinary Series | Griddle Food Network
I just recently purchased a GrillBee 16'' pizza stone and wanted to do a review of the preheating process of the stone on the blackstone griddle. After countless reviews on multiple pizza stones and all the negative reviews stating the stones had a foul chemical order and some were cracking, I decided to go through the whole preheat process with the GrillBee pizza stone. With a 1 year warranty provided by GrillBee plus the Amazon return policy, it could not hurt to give this a try prior to making my first pizza on the griddle.

Preheat Process
- Place stone on the griddle and then turn the heat to high. To avoid the stone cracking you don't want to put the stone on after the griddle is hot.
- I recommend keeping the hood on your griddle to use as a convection oven allowing for the top of the griddle to heat up faster than waiting for the heat to come through the bottom.
- Within 30 - 45 minutes your stone should reach the 500 degree mark. I recommend using a infrared thermometer.

Cooling / Cleaning Process
- Let the stone naturally cool. Take a hot stone and splashing it with cool or lukewarm water to it will crack the stone.
- If you have excess food with stuck to the stone, I suggest a nylon brush or soft scrub pad without any soap or detergent. Wet the nylon brush with warm water. The stone is porous and you do not need a lot of water. If you use soap there is a good chance your next meal on the stone may have a soapy after taste.

- The stone is NOT dishwasher safe
- Dry the stone with a hand towel and store it away until your next use.
