Police released bodycam video and 911 calls from Wednesday’s officer-involved shooting in Edmond.
Around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the 3700 block of Oakridge Circle.

A man doing a welfare check on his friend called 911 from a nearby coffee shop after his friend began shooting at him.

“I went to go knock on the door and all of the sudden he just started shooting,” the caller told 911.

Edmond police identified the suspect as Carrington Scott, 36.

When officers arrived at the home, they said Scott continued shooting at random inside the home.

Scott eventually came outside and allegedly grabbed for his gun. That’s when officers opened fire.

An officer shot Scott in the calf.

While being placed in handcuffs, numerous magazines were pulled from his body armor as officers provided medical attention.

“I’m going to put this tunicate on your leg, OK?” an Edmond police officer is heard saying on bodycam video. “It’s going to be uncomfortable.”

Scott was arrested on several complaints including shooting with intent to kill and wearing body armor while committing a felony.
