Jupiter as Atmakarka

When Jupiter is the planet that holds the highest degree excluding the nodes, you embody the true nature of that planet and are reincarnated to grow as a soul by using the positive traits of it. We are all here to learn lessons of our Ak and use their better qualities. A well placed, strong Ak by house, sign or direction is wise, happy, optimistic and the pillar of community seeking the truth that suits most. It is a very generous planet which blesses the houses and planets it touches, protects and has a giving nature. Enjoys learning, teaching, is the indicator of children and wealth, far distance travel, embraces other cultures, religions or is very spiritual. It is the seeker of the truth, the philosopher, advisor and the counsellor. Has vision and is very charitable. On the darker side, Jupiter is self righteous, egoistic, thinks it knows best, has a rigid way of looking at life, can be snobbish, thinks their truth is the only truth, overly religious, overly spiritual to the point they forget to look after their own wife and kids. Non stop preaching and never entertain other people’s ideals and at worst an extremist. Has a thing for sweet food and is over indulgent which can cause liver, gall bladder issues and obesity. I have to say I was very surprised that Jupiter can behave badly as my initial learnings were very basic but my teachers definitely put me right. It is the planet that does struggle particularly with Mercury and Venus signs. Look at Jupiter in the D9 and if it has progressed to an angular or trine house from the sign in the D1, eg. If in D1 it is in Sagittarius but it moves to Leo in D9, then you know that time will help you grow as an evolved teacher. If not you have the choice to use your will and improve your Ak yourself.
