Was J R R Tolkien a Christian?

I ramble on as a mad man trying to explain to you why I firmly believe J.R.R. Tolkien was a Christian, and the evidence that they use to say he wasn't that actually proves the opposite, but make up your mind, read "On Fairy Stories" or his poem "Mythopoeia."
