By luring a user into signing a fraudulent transaction using phishing links, hackers stole 29 Moonbirds NFTs valued $1.5 million. Phishing is a type of social engineering scam in which attackers provide links to malicious websites that appear to be legitimate financial transaction sites. According to Twitter user @0xLosingMoney, the person responsible for the phishing effort has been identified. After being drawn to a phony trade site, a user of the p2peers.io website may have been duped into signing a fraudulent transaction. In certain phishing efforts, users are requested to link their wallets and approve a function.
