Jamil Jutha had to kick out the window of his Telsa model Y in North Vancouver, British Columbia when it shut down while driving, locked, up, and began filling with smoke quickly

The article states that there is a manual release as well but, in a panic of LIFE OR DEATH it's easy to see why he did what he did, maybe that SHOULDN'T BE THE PROBLEM, how about technology that OPENS THE DOORS in case of FIRE instead of LOCKING THEM from something that CAN CATCH FIRE ?

Within minutes the vehicle was in flames, had he not escaped when he did or if he had others in the vehicle like children strapped in that take time to get out, it could have been a very serious tragedy

Investigations into the start of the fire are ongoing, it's believed to not have been the battery because they burn much hotter, consume the entire vehicle being underneath, and are harder to put out
