A Peoria police officer is being credited for rescuing a man after he jumped from the balcony from a burning home Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Brandon Sheffert, police got a call about someone screaming for help in the area of Lake Pleasant and Westwing parkways around 4 a.m.

In a news release, police said that Officer Kyle Touton arrived to see the house fully engulfed in flames. Officer Touton was told by a neighbor that there was someone in the second-story balcony of the backyard. Trouton made his way through the backyard with smoke and flames billowing out of the house, and found a man hanging onto the second-story. Body-camera video shows Touton telling the unidentified man, "I got you." before he jumps and saves him from hitting the ground.

“I didn’t really do anything, I was just at the right place at the right time," said Trouton, when Arizona's Family asked him to comment on the rescue.

Police say no one was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
