ULTIMATE GUIDE to the Sermon on the Mount | How can anyone be perfect like Jesus Christ commands?

Why are the requirements of Jesus Christ so high in His Sermon on the Mount? How can anyone do what is required by Jesus Christ?

It seems so many verses get used out of context from the Sermon on the Mount to promote a works-based gospel, a loss of salvation, amongst other heresies that shut the gates of Heaven up on people because they reject the finished work of Jesus Christ. A couple of instances of this include when Jesus commands the listeners to be perfect as their Father in Heaven is perfect or when He says that not everyone who says "Lord, Lord" will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do the Will of the Father. Many overlook the fact that the Sermon on the Mount served the purpose of bringing people to end of themselves and see their need for Jesus Christ. Jesus was not just interested in how people conducted themselves, He wanted them to see the wicked nature of their own heart. Many of the religious leaders have failed to see the purpose of the Law and how it continuously pointed to Jesus as the means of salvation!
