Between the “Devious Licks” challenge on TiK Toc and these two juveniles burglarizing a home, there has to be a more constructive way to keep kids busy.

On September 26, 2021, 13-year-old Jancarlos Roldan and 14-year-old Tony Lovell found their way into someone else’s home and barn, where they stole a horse whip. When exiting the home, they set off the alarm. Roldan and Lovell fled, hoping they would not get caught.

Unfortunately for them, K-9 Cpl. Calvin Batts and his partner, K-9 Jax, arrived at the site of the burglary on NW 122nd Terrace in Reddick and began a track. During the track, K-9 Jax first led deputies to the stolen horse whip and then right to Roldan’s residence where they found Roldan and Lovell. Good boy, Jax!! (As you’ll see from the video, Roldan’s father was not very happy with him)

Deputies spoke with Roldan and Lovell. At first they denied having anything to do with the burglary. But, eventually they each admitted to playing a part. Both were arrested and transported the Department of Juvenile Justice.

*BEFORE YOU ASK…They are charged with a felony, which per FL Statute 119 makes their information public record*
