The independent investigation released video of the fatal crash after a police chase on October 9th.

The pursuit began about 2:45 a.m. when a Maryland Transportation Authority police officer saw a Monte Carlo commit a traffic violation near the intersection of I395 and Conway Street in Baltimore.

The vehicle eventually stopped, but the driver took off as the officer approached.

The officer continued to pursue the vehicle until the driver lost control of his vehicle on the exit ramp from 695 to Wilkens Avenue. The vehicle hit the median and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The man who died in the crash is identified as Jawuan James Ginyard of Baltimore.

The officer has not been identified, except to say that he is a 10-year veteran of the police force.
