Superheroes - Tribute to the U.S. Military

I'm an "Army Daughter, Army Mom, Air Force Sister, Navy Neice. I had an Uncle who was a Secret Service Agent to the President, a couple of very close personal friends of myself and my family who served both during Vietnam and the Invasion of Afghanistan. I always had a high respect for anyone willing to sign up and serve in the military, but never did it become stronger, as when my own son joined the Army the year of the 9/11 Attacks on U.S. soil. My son who trained in the Arctic Brigade in Alaska never did have to go to Afghanistan or Iraq. However, he did go on a "Top Secret Supply mission to South Korea." His brigade was scheduled for Afghanistan the year after he finished his term. However, a very good friend of ours, who grew up with my sons, and who I've known since a toddler, ended up being one of the very 1st paratroopers to drop down into Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks. He ended up in 2 invasions hunting down the Taliban and came back with his life. Thank God. Many have not, as was the case of LT. Michael P. Murphy, a US Navy Seal who I have featured in this video. He was killed in an intense firefight by the Taliban in 2005 in Afghanistan. He truly was an American Superhero and awarded the Medal of Honor. The years of this current war have been stressful for many of Americans who have family and friends in the military serving. I originally wrote this song with ALL of our heroes in mind, including our First Responders, Firefighters, Policemen, Paramedics, and all the heroes who lay down their own lives for us every day. We pay tribute to all these brave men and women, and simply say "Thank You" for being willing to sacrifice so much for the sake of our peace, safety and freedom!
