Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper injured in I-70 crash

An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper is recovering at home after being involved in a serious crash on I-70 west last Wednesday.

Trooper Jarid Fitzpatrick, 25 was hospitalized after slamming into the back of a semi-truck.

Video from Fitzpatrick's dashcam shows him driving on the interstate when he comes up quickly behind the semi-truck.

Troopers say the investigation into why the crash happened is ongoing.
