Ukraine admits loss of Liman to Russia, a major Ukrainian stronghold in Donbass

Russian troops have taken over the town of Liman in the northern Donetsk region, the government in Kiev revealed, on Thursday evening. Ukrainian forces have reportedly withdrawn west-southwest towards Slavyansk.

When comparing the locations in the article to Google Maps, I can't help but wonder if Russia has almost completed it's goal of eliminating the remaining forces within the caldron it created at the start of it's peace keeping mission into Ukraine.
