This evening at approximately 4:30 pm, CHP H-32, CHP H-20, REACH 6, Cal Fire, and firefighters from Yolo County, all responded to a report of two parachuters down on Glascock Peak.

H-32 arrived overhead and located the parties at the bottom of the peak. H-32 inserted a crew member to the scene and placed the victim in a rescue harness.

The patient was hoisted from the peak and flown to REACH 6 who was waiting on the valley floor below.

Upon talking to the victim, he was paragliding when he collided with the peak. Having witnessed the crash, the second paraglider landed near the victim and rendered aid until H-32 arrived.

CHP H-20 hoisted the second paraglider and H-32’s crew member just before dark.

The patient was transported by REACH to Kaiser Vacaville with major injuries.
