According to the ancient Vedic tradition, the universe is made up of the five basic elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether. These are called tattvas, the principal categories of natural phenomena. Each of the elements is associated with one of the five senses, one of the five organs of action, one of the five organs of perception and one of the five pranas.

Krishna Consciousness means getting that transcendental body that is eternal blissful, full of Knowledge and completely free from all sufferings. It is nothing but the eternal relationship with the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna and His pure devotees.

We live in a world that is perpetually changing. As it is changing, we are constantly adapting to it. This is "Maya", or The Great Illusion, that Sri Krishna speaks of in Bhagavad Gita. As we journey through life, we begin to lose sight of things such as what we truly want or what our spiritual values are. We need to set down real spiritual goals for ourselves in order to give our life true meaning and not get caught up in the illusion that the world brings. It is important to focus on Krishna Consciousness or God Consciousness. It is also important to remain humble and inquisitive and not get caught up in the worldly success we may have. When we do this, we qualify ourselves to found by a bona fide Acharya.
