Method of Proof: Proof by Induction

Hello all, for today's video, it is about another method of direct proof. In previous videos, I've chatted about Direct Proof, Proof by Contradiction, and Proof by Contrapositive. For today's video, I will be talking about Proof by Induction.

For Proof by Induction, what we are saying is that for any choice of k, if P(k) is true, then P(k+1) is true. Typically, you will see the proof by induction represented in a form of staircase or ladder. Essentially, you are given a starting point and the end result. You need to prove that because the starting point is true, the next step is true and the step after that is true.
