CHP hoists an injured hiker from Prospectors Gap Trail

This afternoon, CHP H-30 responded with San Ramon Valley Fire to a report of a hiker down on the Prospectors Gap Trail.

H-30 arrived overhead and located the hiker on the trail. H-30 lowered a H-30 crew to the scene and the hiker was placed into a rescue harness.

The hiker was hoisted approximately 75 feet from the trail and into H-30. H-30 flew the hiker to waiting San Ramon Valley Paramedics where he was further evaluated and taken by ambulance to a local hospital

This was the first of two rescues today in the San Ramon Valley Fire District.
