Morning Watch Officer’s Catch And Arrest Burglary Suspect Inside Local Business

Zone 5 officers continue to make a difference in their patrol areas. On January 19th, 2022, at approximately 1:21AM, Atlanta Police responded to a burglary in progress at 51 Elliott St. SW.

Upon arrival, Z5 morning watch Officer, K. Craddock spoke with the business owner who advised that the suspect was still inside the location. Officer Craddock entered the business and quickly took control of the situation and apprehended the suspect, later identified as Nouan Phouanesouvanh.

During the processing of Phouanesouvanh, he was found to be in possession of a stolen package from a nearby residence. Mr. Phouanesouvanh was charged accordingly and later transported to Fulton County Jail without incident.

Atlanta Police Department’s Burglary Unit will continue to investigate whether Mr. Phouanesouvanh is involved in other similar crimes throughout the area.
