While completing a rescue with San Ramon Valley Fire, H-30 was requested to respond to the area of the North Peak and assist with a hiker suffering a cardiac emergency.

With GPS coordinates provided by Con Fire Dispatch, H-30 conducted a search and located the hiker on a remote peak.

H-30 lowered a crew member to the hikers location and placed him into a rescue harness. Both the hiker and our crew member were hoisted approximately 60 feet from the peak to H-30.

H-30 transported the hiker to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek in serious condition where he was treated by the Er Team.
