DIY Cherry Laptop Stand / laptop desk with hidden dovetails (Leigh dovetail jig helped) #laptopdesk

In this video, we built a small laptop desk for my wife. Her monitor was taller and there was a small line of sight issue. We built this desk out of Cherry. Instead of joining the boards with butt or mitered joints, we decided to go with hidden dovetails. We used a dovetail jig made by Leigh and it was given to us by a good friend. We wanted to have the desk raise the laptop at least by 4-5". We also wanted my wife to have the ability to type on the laptop. Which meant making the desk a bit more ergonomic. So we angled the legs so that the desk tilts and still manages to be tall enough. To avoid the laptop from slipping from the desk we added a walnut stip at the front. Overall this was both an enjoyable and learning experience. The desk turned out both elegant and practical. #Laptopdesk
