This morning, CHP H-32 responded with, Capell Valley Volunteer Fire Station, CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit, AMR Napa County and REACH 3 to a report of an injured horseback rider near the R Ranch in Capell Valley.
H-32 arrived overhead and located the rider down on a dirt trail.

Unfortunately, access for first responders was blocked by 4 feet of water covering the fire road.

H-32 was able to hoist the rider approximately 75 feet from the trail and fly her to Reach 3 that was at a nearby LZ.

With the assistance of Capell Fire and Cal Fire, the patient was loaded into REACH 3 and flown to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center where she is being treated by the trauma team.
