Hiker injured in Annandale State Park is hoisted by CHP and transported to a local hospital

Yesterday afternoon, CHP H-32 Responded to Annandale State Park with firefighters from Sonoma County and Sonoma Life Support to a report of an injured hiker that was on a difficult to access trail.

H-32 arrived overhead and directed firefighters and paramedics to the patient’s location. H-32 lowered a rescuer to the scene and placed the hiker in a rescue harness. The hiker was hoisted approximately 75 feet from the trail to H-32.

H-32 flew the hiker to a nearby LZ where she was transported by Sonoma Life Support to a local hospital for treatment.
