Justice Roberts Mocks Biden Solicitor

In last Friday’s Supreme Court hearing over the constitutionality of President Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandates for employers with over one-hundred workers and healthcare workers, Chief Justice John Roberts appeared to mock Biden’s solicitor general when she claimed Congress gave the federal government authority for the vax mandates when it created OSHA in 1970.

“That was 50 years ago that you’re saying that Congress acted. I don’t think it had COVID in mind. That was almost closer to the Spanish flu than it is to today’s problem. I understand the idea that agencies are more expert than Congress. I understand that they can move more quickly than Congress, but this is something that the federal government has never done before, right, mandated vaccine coverage?”

From our perspective, the federal government has no business determining who can work based on their vax status.
