How to setup Tile Up

Setup Instructions:
Layout the game board. Place the numbered tiles in the tile bag. Give 1 player a pen and paper for keeping score. Shuffle the goal cards and place them face down on the table. Flip the top two goal cards face-up near the game board. Give each player a privacy screen to set up in front of them. Draw 5 tiles from the tile bag and place one tile on each of the green shaded areas in the center of the board. Only use tiles numbered 3 through 5 and return any tiles with the numbers 1 or 2 to the bag. Each player draws 3 tiles from the bag and one goal card. Players place their tiles and goal card behind their screen. Each player then announces the sum of their three tiles. The player with the highest total goes first. If there is a tie, then the tied players return their tiles, take 3 new tiles, and all players announce their sums again. Repeat this process until there is a clear highest sum to determine the first player. For the rest of the gameplay rules, check out this video.
