The Pepperrell Family: New England's Most Prolific Family
Back in the 1600s a fisherman's apprentice came to New England and quickly went up the ranks.
By the time his son, who had the same name as him, was old enough he trained him in the business. the 2nd William Pepperell grew the business to new heights and made the family name known throughout old and new England especially in his acts during a war with France. When he died, the inheritor was skipped a generation to the 3rd William Pepperrell. By this time the American Revolution was about to begin and he fled back to England leaving all the riches.
