CHP hoist a hiker who suffering a medical emergency near the Miwok Trail in Marin County

This afternoon, CHP H-32 responded to a report of a hiker who suffering a medical emergency near the Miwok Trail in Marin County.

H-32 arrived over the scene and located the patient approximately 100 feet off trail. H-32 directed Southern Marin Fire District firefighters to the hikers location. Firefighter/Paramedics treated the patient as H-32 prepared for a hoist rescue.

H-32 returned to the scene and hoisted the patient approximately 60 feet from his location to H-32. H-32 flew the patient to a nearby LZ where he was transferred to a waiting ambulance.

The patient was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
