Florida HS class president was told not to say ‘gay’ during a graduation speech. However, the Pine View HS graduate was clever to use curly hair as a metaphor to get his point across. The Majority Report crew discuss how the Florida student could not say gay, criticizing the laws passed recently because teachers would get in trouble. The MR crew also talks about Florida legislation and how it leads to people suppressing who they are and causing harm to individuals.

…This kid who was chosen as class president and he’s giving a commencement talk, apparently according to the people who uploaded this video, he was told that his mic would be cut if he talks about the fact that he is gay. Because you know, free speech. The teachers that were standing by, if he said the word gay that would mean that they were enabling grooming even if they themselves didn't say the word gay. You can’t stand by and watch a crime happen, you’re just as complicit. He substituted having curly hair for being gay and got his point across.
