RULES:

The object of the game is to score 20 points by creating words using all the “good” letters and none of the “rotten” letters. Place the egg sorter in the center of the table and attach the red and green trays to it. Give each player a pen and paper. Place the timer on the table.

When everyone is ready, drop all the letter eggs into the egg sorter and flip the timer. All players simultaneously race to write down as many valid words as they can. Valid words must use all of the letters in the green “good egg” area and may not use any of the letters in the red “rotten egg” area. You are allowed to use each letter more than once if you like and you may also add any other letter in the alphabet to the word so long as that letter isn’t in the red “rotten egg” area. If you do use other letters, you must still use all the letters in the green area, you may not omit any of them in your word.

When the timer runs out all the players stop writing new words. Now, players take turns reading their written words out loud to the other players. Any words that multiple players have written down that are the exact same, get crossed off every player’s list. All words must be found in a dictionary, they cannot be proper nouns, slang, abbreviations, foreign words, or use any of the red rotten letters. If they do, they get crossed off. Once everyone has gone and all the illegal words and duplicates are crossed off, each player scores points from all the remaining legal words on their paper.

You score 1 point for each word that is 1 to 6 letters long, and 2 points for words that are 7 or more letters long. If no player has 20 or more points, then play another round. Once a player has 20 or more points, the game ends and the player with the most points wins. If there is a tie, then the tied players play a tie breaker round to determine the winner.

There is a special deck of category cards you may choose to play with. Shuffle the deck, and at the start of each round, flip over the top card. All legal, non-duplicate words that fit within the category on the card, are scored for 3 points regardless of their length.
