RULES:

The object of this single player puzzle game is to capture all the pieces on the card until only 1 piece remains. Choose a challenge card from the book and place it on the table. Place pieces on their matching icons. The icons are: King, queen, bishop, knight, rook, pawn. Now you must move the chess pieces in a way that every move results in a captured piece. All the pieces have their normal chess moves and are all the same color. For a refresher of those moves, check out this video. Since pieces must end in a capture, you will never be able to move a pawn forward, but rather may only capture diagonally with them. If a pawn reaches the top rank they do not get promoted. Also, there is no check rule for the king and, by design, every challenge that includes a King will end with the King as the last remaining piece.

If you are left with 2 or more pieces and are unable keep the capture streak going, then you lose and must reset the board and try again. When there is only one piece remaining, you win. Time to try your hand at the next puzzle. If you get stuck, you can reference the back of the rule book sheet for the solutions.
