CHP hoist missing elderly man after he was found by the Alameda search and rescue

This afternoon, CHP H-30 responded with the Oakland Fire Department and FALCK Ambulance to a report that the Alameda County Search and Rescue Team (including multiple search teams from across the Bay Area) had located a missing elderly man.

The man had been MISSING SINCE TUESDAY when ground search teams miraculously located him alive.
H-30 lowered a crew member to the scene and placed the man in a rescue harness.

The man was hoisted through a heavy canopy and flown to a nearby landing zone where he was transported to a local hospital. Excellent work by ground search teams in locating this man and potentially saving his life.
