Gino Recchia NBC26 Weather Forecast

It is going to be a cool and windy day with heavy showers and thunderstorms. Northeast winds will gust to 25 mph as high temperatures remain in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Rainfall estimates range from a half inch to an inch. There is a marginal risk for excessive rainfall indicating a minor flooding potential. Since these are going to be fast moving bands of precipitation versus training thunderstorms, we should not see any flash flooding concerns. Additional isolated showers or thunderstorms are anticipated Thursday as this low pressure begins to depart the Great Lakes. Highs will climb around 70. Temperatures remain in the upper 60s to lower 70s Friday and Saturday. There is a slim chance of a pop up shower or storm Saturday. A strong southern ridge of high pressure builds to our east Sunday through early next week. With strong south winds. Highs will climb into the mid 80s returning the humidity to the area. With the warm front now forecast to extend north of the viewing area during this time period, the risk of thunderstorms has been removed for the time being. If that warm from sags further south, thunderstorms will return to the forecast for Sunday through Tuesday.
