RULES:
Whenever a pawn captures a piece that isn’t a pawn, it must promote to that piece. You are not required to capture an opponent’s piece with your piece if you don’t want to; but if you do capture it, you must promote your pawn to that piece. To do so, remove your pawn from the board and flip the opponent’s disc to your color. If you aren’t playing with double sided chess disks, feel free to use normal chess pieces from another set if you don’t have available material. The promoted piece is treated as it normally would, under your control. If your pawn captures a pawn, your pawn is still allowed to promote upon capturing another piece later. En passant is still used like normal. If a pawn reaches the farthest row by moving or capturing a piece, it may be promoted to any piece.
