On April 27, 2022, members of APD’s TITANS Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a suspended registration. While speaking with the driver, officers noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was detained without incident. As officers were attempting to detain the passenger, he pulled away and tried to run from the scene. Officers were able to take him into custody after a brief struggle.

The passenger possessed marijuana, a digital scale, and $120 cash. Upon searching the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun with an extended magazine under the front passenger seat. The driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for battery family violence.

The passenger was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Both were transported to the Fulton County Jail.

Driver: 24-year-old Isaiah Pearce
Passenger: 29-year-old Shavez Williams
