Atlanta officers arrest female who attempted to break into a vehicle

On 4/23/22, Zone 5 Officers Sanchez, De Maitre, and Lovreta responded to a damage to property call at the location of 933 Juniper St. Upon arrival, officers met with the witness who stated he observed a female attempting to break into a vehicle.

The witness recorded the suspect on his phone and provided the surveillance footage to the officers. With a quick response, the officers canvassed the area and located the female suspect who was still attempting to break into the vehicle. Officer Sanchez quickly detained the female suspect. The BMW she was attempting to enter sustained significant damage to its windshield. The vehicle’s owner was identified and notified of the damage.

The suspect was identified as Bronica Woods. Ms. Woods was charged with the Criminal Destruction of Property (over $500.00). Ms. Woods was transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident. We would like to take the time to commend the officers for their swift response in catching this suspect and their professionalism in making the arrest without incident. We also want to thank the witness who provided key information which helped the officers to locate the suspect. Job well done!
