RULES:
The object of this 2 player game is to be the first player to build a 5 floor hotel with each floor having a room and no bills. Give each player a gray hotel base and 5 matching colored floor pieces. Each player attaches 1 floor piece into their base – make sure it isn’t the roof piece. Give each player $250 and place the remaining cash to the side as a bank. Shuffle all the cards then deal each player 5 cards. Players may look at their own cards but should keep them hidden from their opponent. Place the remaining deck facedown as a draw pile. The youngest player goes first then turns alternate.

On your turn draw 2 cards from the deck and add them to your hand, then perform up to 3 actions. Playing any card counts as 1 action and paying a bill counts as 1 action. Once you finish performing actions, or no actions if you choose, if you have more than 7 cards you must discard cards from your hand to the discard pile until you have 7. If you have 0 cards at the end of your turn, then at the start of your next turn you get to draw 5 cards instead of 2.

Rooms and Celebrity cards play into your own hotel for 1 action. Bills play into your opponent’s hotel for 1 action. All the other cards play to the discard pile for 1 action. Rooms can be played into any empty hotel floor for zero money, but you may not play a room into a floor that has a bill in it. You do not pay or collect money when you play a room, and you may only have one room per floor. Celebrity cards play into floors that already have a room in them but no bills. Celebrities cannot be played to a floor without a room. Bills play into any of your opponent’s hotel floors that do not have a celebrity. You cannot collect rent from any of your rooms from floors that have a bill in it. You can remove and discard a bill by using 1 action and paying the bank the price indicated on that bill.

The build/rent cards allow you to build a new floor OR collect rent from the bank for all the rooms in your hotel that do not have a bill. To build a floor, pay the bank the price indicated on the card then attach a floor piece of your color on top of your hotel. All the cards all say what they do but some details worth noting are: When you “demolish and build” all the cards in the demolished floor are discarded. When you “empty a room” you remove the room and any celebrity card that is there and discard them. You cannot “no deal” a “no deal” card. The “GO” card pays you $200 from the bank when played. When you “swap rooms” you discard all celebrities and bills from both floors swapped.

If the draw deck runs out of cards, then shuffle the discard into a new draw deck. The first player to build 5 floors and have a room in each floor with zero bills in their hotel, wins!
