Police on Tuesday released body camera video of an officer-involved shooting May 4 along I-75.

In the video, Moraine officers are seen confronting a man inside an overturned car, which they say had rear-ended another vehicle at high speed in the northbound lanes.

Moraine Police identified 27-year-old Elijah Isham, from Oregon as the suspect in the overturned car.

Video shows police ordering Isham to lower a gun they say he was holding. Moraine Police Chief Craig Richardson said officers gave Isham 41 commands to put the weapon down.

At one point an officer can be heard on the video say that Isham had the gun in his left hand before saying Isham was smoking meth.

In video from one of the officer's cameras, Isham raises an arm just before officers open fire.

"Just had shots fired," one officer is heard telling dispatch. "I'll grab the weapon. I got it, I got it."

An officer is also heard saying, "Do not reach for that gun," after the shooting.

Video shows an officer reach under the car's door and grab a gun and walk back, saying, "Weapon is under control, send in a medic."
