A Deltona woman accused of fleeing from Volusia County Sheriff's deputies twice, in one instance briefly dragging a deputy, is in custody.

Body camera video from the night of March 8 shows deputies pull over 38-year-old Tanjela Pitts for a traffic violation.

Investigators say Pitts was the same driver who fled a traffic stop two days earlier and they had a warrant for her arrest.

After asking her to get out, they told Pitts she was under arrest on that previous warrant.

Pitts allegedly got back in the vehicle, started the car and took off while a deputy was holding on to her arm.

The deputy was briefly dragged and thrown to the ground but is ok.

Investigators say on March 6, when Pitts was stopped for reckless driving, she also took off from the traffic stop.

Investigators say they caught up with Pitts last week. She remains in jail on $25,000 bond.
