U.N.: Ignoring global food crisis would be 'horrific'

Ignoring the impending global food crisis will have “horrific” consequences, warned the U.N. food chief on Tuesday (May 24) as he warned that keeping Ukraine’s ports shut as the harvest season approached was a “declaration of war on global food security.”
