As the Pesach season is upon us, we pause to reflect on some of the meanings behind the holiday. This week we discuss the often mentioned, yet little understood, concept of the Passover lamb. Why was a lamb's blood commanded to be put upon the Hebrews' doorways? What is the purpose of the Passover sacrifice? Why do we not continue to offer one today? The answers may be a little deeper than you think, and shed greater light on the details of one of Judaism's holiest festivals.

Set Apart is a talk/music radio show covering issues related to religion and how we live as people of faith in the modern world, predominantly from a traditional Jewish perspective. It airs every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. CT on KEOS 89.1 FM College Station/Bryan, TX. If you are out of range of the station, you can listen to the show on your favorite radio app or on http://keos.org/.
