Fenwick Eagle Salmon/Steelhead Spinning Rod Review // Fishing Rod Reviews // Versatile Fishing Rod
Fenwick Eagle Salmon-Steelhead Spinning Rod Review! I will be doing a bunch of fishing rod reviews in the upcoming months but in this fishing rod review video I am looking at the Fenwick Eagle Salmon/Steelhead fishing rod EAG96M-MS-2. The Fenwick Eagle spinning rod is pretty awesome in my opinion and it is a versatile fishing rod. I actually got my Fenwick Eagle for Christmas so I never even held one till I owned it and I was pleasantly surprised right away. The Fenwick Eagle Steelhead Salmon rods are well made and look cool. This Fenwick spinning rod is stiff and heavy making it Ideal for casting big steelhead lures. The Fenwick Eagle also is long enough to work as a steelhead float fishing rod but is a bit on the stiff side when it comes to fighting big fish on light line. So far I have caught salmon, steelhead, brown trout and carp on my 9'6" Fenwick Eagle EAG96M-MS-2 since I got the rod 3 months before making this steelhead fishing rod review video. This versatile fishing rod works well for spoons spinners, crank baits, jigs, drifting and even float fishing. For this reason I have to give the Fenwick Eagle spinning rods a positive review. Aside from being a versatile fishing rod I can tell the Fenwick Eagle is well made and durable. These Fenwick spinning rods are also very sensitive. These are not likely the best steelhead rods on the market but I would rank the Fenwick Eagle as one of the best steelhead fishing rods for the price for someone who wants a heavy steelhead rod. Like I said in the video I think the Fenwick Eagle is an excellent salmon rod and likely among the best salmon rods for the money. I cant wait to use this as a salmon river rod. I know the Fenwick Eagle will be awesome for king salmon fishing in the rivers this fall. If you are looking for a salmon fishing rod review my opinion is this is probably nicer than the okuma sst rods that I see people favor for salmon fishing. For a nice steelhead fishing rod and reel combo that is budget friendly try the Fenwick Eagle with a Pfluger President reel. In short I would say the Fenwick Eagle spinning rod is a good quality versatile fishing rod and is worth the money. At the end of this video I show you The Fenwick Eagle rod in action as I catch a steelhead and a salmon with my Fenwick! I also show off my Winter Steelhead Fishing Setup that I used to float fish for steelhead and salmon with my new Fenwick fishing rod. This is the first Fenwick fishing rod I have owned and I will likely buy another one in the future. Maybe an HMX or an ultralight for trout if not another steelhead rod. The more fishing rods I buy the more fishing rod reviews I can do aand I can help you in choosing the right fishing rod! Knowing how to buy a good fishing rod to make sure you have the right rod for the techniques you like to use for fishing.

About Fenwick
The name Fenwick comes from a lake in Washington State. And performance was the name of the game from day one. On the shores of Lake Fenwick, a group of men passionate about fishing dove head first into development of a rod that would set the technological pace for generations of passionate anglers to follow. As you read about our rich history, take note: their story is not nearly complete, because Fenwick technology is always advancing.
For over 50 years, the Fenwick name has been a legend among fishermen all over the world. The company’s fascinating history dates back to the Pacific Northwest in the late 40’s where men returning from the “big war” had only one thing on their minds: to get back to the sport of fishing they so loved. Washington State would become the spawning ground where names like Don Green, Clarence Shoff, Lamiglas and Fenwick would write the first chapters of the history of the modern fishing rod.
