After McDonald's, the US fast service restaurant chain announced that Starbucks is leaving Russia.
In a statement made by the company, Starbucks was reminded that on 8 March, he suspended all business activities in Russia, including the shipment of all Starbucks products.
The statement noted that the company has decided to leave the Russian market and will no longer have a brand presence in the market.
It was stated that about 2000 employees in Russia will be paid for 6 months, and that employees will also be able to help them move to new opportunities outside Starbucks.
Starbucks, which opened its first shop in Russia in 2007, has 130 stores run by Alshaya Group, a licensed owner in the country.
Starbucks said Russia suspended all business activities in the country on 8 March following the attack on Ukraine.
As Russia's attacks against Ukraine continued, the number of companies that were reviewing their operations in Russia continued to increase.
Finally, McDonald's had announced that it had been operating in the Russian market for more than 30 years and started the process of launching its operations.
