Flu makes appearance after 2+ years???

So is the Flu back after being on holiday for 2+ years or have we been lied to over the past two years? How can the flu, that killed many hundreds and had thousands of cases each year before 2020 miraculously disappear and then suddenly reappear 2 years later when the other flu like sickness starts going quiet? Will Flu disappear again next year when the authorities want us focus on the next pandemic, the MonkeyPox?
